Wilmington Island resident pushes road safety

Wilmington Island resident David Nagle does not know of any pedestrians or bicyclists being killed trying to navigate traffic on Johnny Mercer Boulevard, but he is afraid it is only a matter of time.

Traffic has become heavy, motorists ignore pedestrians, and there is only one crosswalk for the major roadway, he said.

Nagle decided something needed to be done.
